This strip is probably more appropriate now than it was 13 years ago when I first drew it. Earth really is going to
Hell in a hand basket and we're watching it happen.  We should just spine-up and admit that the part of the Earth that keeps us alive (a combo of the oxygen-creating plants and the land we live on and off of) is being destroyed by us.  We should develop terraforming technology and spaceships ASAP.  Even if we can terraform Earth back into a place we can survive, world population is still growing so we'll be overcrowding the planet.  So, yeah, it's past time we do this for the sake of humanity's survival.
