Classic #BALLPOINT: For Billy, sometimes a little is too much.

Thankfully, this is not based on a literal true story but it is based on a metaphorical true story.  What is that

#BillyBallpoint knows it's always important to be prepared!

Yep, Billy believes in always being prepared!  He's such a Boy Scout, isn't he? OK, maybe not. Funny story:

Billy calls Hillary on her Excuses (with an ax!)

As usual, I don't endorse violence against women or men in real life.  Just stick-figure violence.  I also don't endorse blaming childhood as an excuse for behavior as an adult.  The point is...

Billy has an Ax for Overpoliticking.

This strip is NOT an endorsement of violence toward Hillary Clinton, women in general, or toward anyone else.  This is a comic strip.  This strip simply calls people on their shit. Why does Billy use an ax?  Read on...

Ah, the good old days, when cartoon extreme violence was still fun and ironic and not all-too-reflective of reality. I miss those days.

I used to feel that this comic strip was 100% accurate for all people. It's still absurd, to me, to censor violence in movies, TV, comics and video games on the grounds that it influences people to become violent.  My view now, 16 years later however, is a bit more nuanced...

There is a bit of a story behind this one that ironically makes this strip seem pretty dated (but really, it's not). I mean, nowadays, who cares if a bunch of innocent people got killed because NATO had bad intel?  This sort of thing happens all the time, these days.  But please read on to understand what this comic is really about.

Even if you're a huge geek, you have to admit that fandom can get to be a bit much sometimes.

It just occurred to me, 17 years later, that Billy should have killed the cosplayer with his own bat'leth.

I'm embarrassed that after all these years I still remember how to spell "bat'leth".
