Yeah, it's a common trait among artists to self-loathe.  Well, all the good ones, anyway! ;) For me, the self-
loathing comes from a place of wanting to do more to make the world a better place but knowing that no single person can hope to change enough of the world to make a real difference.  But hey, I've got to try, right?  Would hate to be on my death bed and wish I had done more.  Better to give it your best shot now before the whole "death bed" thing, right?
